The easiest classification and sub-classification of shirkis into:

1. Majorshirk.Apparent (such as making audible du’aa to the dead).
   Hidden (such as the pure riyaa of the hypocrites).
2. Minor shirk.Apparent (such as swearing by other than Allah).
   Hidden (such as the riyaa in some acts of worship).
