Sitting #16 – The recipients of Zakaah.

They are divided into eight categories as perayah60 of Surat al-Tawba.

1. The poor
2. The needy.
3. Those employed for it.
4. The ones whos hearts are to be one over.
5. Freeing slaves/prisoners.
6. Those who are burdened with debt.
7. Forjihaad in the path of Allah.
8. The wayfarer (stranded traveler).
